4 Important Ways To Stay Calm At Work

Each of us experiences negative emotions at work. Stress, panic, fear, discontent - unfortunately, all this is perfectly familiar to all of us. An overabundance of negative stuff is a direct way to professional burnout. In this article, we will give you practical advice on how to cope with stressful situations at work. And if you are currently looking for a new job, visit Jiji! Here you will definitely find your dream job - https://jiji.ng/jobs !

Good habits
You need to change those working habits that harm you. For example, if you worked in constant chaos, develop your time management skills. If you do not manage to cope with your tasks - discuss your workload with the manager and learn to say "no" to other people's requests. Pay attention to switching and relaxation at work. To do this, start regulating your own workload: plan small breaks for rest during the day. Your brain will still take a break regardless of your desire, so do not resist that.

Emotional "training"
Try to learn how to manage your own emotions. Firstly, start to notice and identify those emotions that you experience in specific situations. This way you will understand why they arise at one time or another (for example, this is a defensive reaction) and how they can be lived. Also, such an analysis will allow you to learn to distinguish when you are simply ruminating, and when you are trying to solve the problem in your head.

Breathing, “calculator” and “grounding”
In order to calm down in stressful situations, the psychologists advise you to practice anti-stress breathing: sit comfortably and concentrate on your inspirations-exhalations for 2-3 minutes. Or, for example, start looking at everything around you, mentally pronouncing the names of objects. Also for relaxation, you can apply the so-called grounding technique. Its essence is very simple: you should literally feel the ground under your feet. Just feel your feet, focusing on these sensations.

And the last method against stress is the “calculation of life”. Take a piece of paper, a pen and start to describe in detail the most enjoyable moments in your life. Then count how many of those happened last week/month/year. Thanks to all this you will relax, and also realize that not everything is bad in your life.

Hobby
In addition to work, there must be another occupation in your life that will really entice and excite you. So if you do not have a hobby - find it. Successes in a favorite and pleasant occupation will inspire you, and help you not to focus on negative thoughts.

Inner Discoveries

Time and time again, most espcially graduates have fallen prey to the snare of umployment that plagues this country. Every Tom,Dick and Harry knows how difficult its become, the dwindling economy of the nation making it all the more predicamental these hard times, not to mention the already immense number of fresh graduates without jobs increasing still on the exponential scale. They have erred by their complete reliance on the government to provide jobs for the working class masses at large.Unbeknowst to them, majority of them could have manoeuvred their way through these perulous times had they known and heeded quite the plethora of alternatives, the highlight of them all-acquiring a skill.
More often than not, acquisition of skills nurtures the sense of self employment creating even an avenue for jobs on the long run, little wonder tertiary institutions have made a mandatory course in the form of the centre of entrepreneurship development to further expose students to the pertinence and benefits of the entrepreneur.
A prerequisite to the entreprenuership stage most times is the skill acquisition as pointed out earlier, these skills which are quite unenumerable ranging from hairdressing, styling and barbing alike, bead making, catering services, electrical repairs, makeup artistry even driving amongst others, which might look trivial albeit vital to the graduate.its a much better option to staying idle doing nothing, wallowing in the throes unemployment dishes out.
Jeff Brown once said that the people with the greatest potential often take the longest to find their path, because their sensitivity is a double edged sword-it lives at the heart of their  brilliance but also makes them more susceptible to life's pains. Discover yourself and do something today, always having in the mind's eye that an idle mind is the devil's workplace.

Political Paranoia

Paranoia in a general sense is extreme distrust of others-a type of disorder amongst humans. At the tail end twentieth and early twenty first century, one party reigned supreme-the peoples democratic party [PDP], a government characterized mainly of disappearance of unaccountable public funds and more stagnant than little development garnered to become the largest economy in Africa towards the end of its tenure. Then came the all progressives party [APC] that heralded the change mantra, dethroning the reigning seat of power, a maiden feat in the democratic political history of the country. The change camaraderie brought with it quite the plethora of promises from sugarcoated mouths akin to their predecessors before them-a gargantuan of these promises unfulfilled, a pertinent reminder that in the end it’s easier said than done.
Take Russia for example whose economy was at a certain time facing impending doom, but gradually climbed to be one of the top oil producing countries with Wladimir Putin brute guidance over the course of fifteen years, the stability and nourishing economy should have been one we emulated since the advent of the oil boom but for crass greed and non altruistic aspirations of leaders.
It is no news hat we’ve nearly hit rock bottom, is it co incidence that the boko haram insurgency desire their Islamic caliphate to the north? Is it perchance that Biafra agitators are resurrecting to the east? Is it impeccable timing that the Niger delta militants of the south want sovereignty, and gone as far as printing their currency and the arewa faction of the west condemning them to go drink their oil that they will survive. Perhaps years of persistent betrayal lies, and unfulfilled mouthwatering intentions of the upper echelon has made them political paranoids and couldn’t even trust any government whatsoever even if they tried.

Nigeria-The Quagmire

The insurgency in the northeast of the book haram members with a pledged allegiance to the Islamic state, sudden rise in the death toll of people by Fulani herdsmen, nascent bombings of oil infrastructure down in the Niger delta by the self pronounced Niger Delta Avengers and not to forget the looming doom in the economy greatly accelerated by the acts of the latest, crippling an already underwhelming economy even further, Nigeria as a whole seem to be in a predicament at every facet of the four cardinal points which more than ever has threatened her stability and unity with the advent of the pro Biafra agitators.
If one was to delve into the supernatural, could this be signs of the supposed end times characterized by suffering, mostly amongst the masses, violence and a lion share of events laced with the negative genre, could it be we are paying for some err of leaders past or could it even be a transient phase, an inevitable temporary period of hardship as a developing nation before we arrive at our Shangri la, our utopian world, after all its often said that’s its calmest just after the storm.
Is a good thing we Nigerians are quite the resilient people, against all odds time and time again, we come out unbent, unbroken stronger and sharper like newly forged steel just out from the fires, the will amongst us burns ever brighter, sparking into flames the embers of hope, with time it will all be history and like a phoenix from the ashes, Nigeria will rise again this time, truly to take claim as the giant of Africa.

Generally, man has a choice on how he would use his resources at large in a way that it will not affect greatly the ecological balance that we have been focusing since then. As environmental policies continue to guide on what to do in terms of protecting our remaining natural resources, what we need to do is to support its progress in forming a powerful nation to its extremity. The drastic change in the environment prompts us to do counter actions in dealing with this change to the extent of developing new and unique strategies that support the global movement for environmental balance. Although there are several areas that have to be dealt with in terms of conserving the ecology, at the end of the road, if everything is carefully planned and managed, then things can potentially be in place.
